An unconventional wine club hosted by some of the most exciting female talent from the UK’s wine industry.

Born from a desire to debunk some of the more common wine ‘myths’ and rules, the series of evenings aim to take the stuffiness out of wine tastings; keeping things fun, informative and a little bit mischievous.

Guardian wine writer Sophia Longhi joins Rebellious Wine Club, working with Indian drinks company Maharaja Drinks to change perceptions of Indian wine - taste four exceptional wines from the Nashik Valley, India's wine capital, as Sophia brings the flavours and stories of the country's emerging wine scene to the UK. An award-winning wine communicator and writer for The Guardian and Condé Nast Traveller, she was named one of Drinks Retailing's 100 Most Influential People in Drinks in both 2024 and 2025.

THURSDAY 22ND OCTOBER: ENGLISH WINE DIARIES WITH REBECCA PITCAIRN - SOLD OUT

English wine has changed enormously over the past few years, and Rebecca Pitcairn has been right in the middle of it.

Wine writer, journalist and host of The English Wine Diaries podcast, Rebecca spends her time uncovering the people, producers, regions and lesser-known grape varieties shaping wine both here in the UK and further afield.

Named one of Drinks Retailing’s Top 100 Most Influential in Drinks and winner of the specialist category at the Freelance Journalism Awards 2025, she is also co-founder and Editorial Director of Uncorked, a magazine dedicated to English and Welsh wine.

Join us for an evening exploring the new world of English wine - the bottles worth knowing, the producers doing things differently and why there has never been a more interesting time to drink closer to home.

THURSDAY 12TH NOVEMBER: THE RULES OF WINE WITH KRISTINA GLADILINA FROM LITA

Does older always mean better? Is biodynamic wine automatically superior? And is there really such a thing as the best wine in the world?

For November’s Rebellious Wine Club, we’re stripping away some of the unnecessary complexity around wine with Kristina Gladilina, Head of Wine at Lita Marylebone.

Kristina has spent 15 years working as a sommelier, from Saint Petersburg to London, and is a semi-finalist in the Best Sommelier of the UK 2026 competition, a Certified Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers and an ASI Gold Diploma holder.

Over the evening, she’ll share the lessons she has picked up along the way - helping us navigate wine lists with more confidence, challenge a few long-held misconceptions and understand what actually matters when choosing a bottle.

Expect lesser-known grapes, unexpected regions and plenty of brilliant wine, with absolutely no requirement to know your Burgundy from your Barolo before you arrive.
